Northwest Arkansas Artists to Know

From public art and murals to gallery spaces and museums, the fruits of Northwest Arkansas’ flourishing art community can be found at almost every turn. We are truly lucky to share our home with some of the most skilled artists in the nation, each of whom bring world-class art to our little corner of the state. But, if you ask us, there are a few names (five, to be exact!) you need to know. Keep reading to meet our Scouted Artists and don’t forget to tell them Scout sent you!


GEORGE DOMBEK


An academic of arts and architecture, George Dombek’s nationally recognized work deviates from the elements commonly found in watercolor creations. His preferred subjects include barns, bicycles, trees, and butterflies that he explores colors through vivid colors and expert precision, resulting in an photographic-like illusion. AMY KEEVER


Amy Keever, a painter and sculpturist with a penchant for challenging her artistic mediums to work in unexpected ways, celebrates her life’s journey through art. She uses vibrant colors to illustrate narratives of joy, healing, and hope with the intention of evoking those same feelings in the viewer. (20 S Main St, Bentonville | @amykeevergallery)


CHLOE JONES


Through photography and collage, Chloe Jones reconnects to her roots as a way to understand the relationship between the body and the natural world. She uses animals and natural elements to express her personal history and experience outside of social constructs. (5100 West Park Ave, Rogers | @chloeajones)


JASON JONES


Jason Jones has been a working muralist for over 20 years. His whimsical art can be seen in many public and private spaces throughout the Ozark region. In addition to his murals, he has gained recognition for his transformations of discarded art, in which he gives new life to the piece while staying true to its original style and integrity. AARON BLEIDT


Not only is Aaron Bleidt the part-principle and chief marketing officer of Fayetteville marketing and design firm, DOXA / VANTAGE, he’s an accomplished digital artist and printmaker. Using minimal aesthetic and puzzling visual pairings, he invites the viewer to imagine fanciful scenarios and find escapism in everyday life. (5100 West Park Ave, Rogers | @artfuloutsider)
